Where did our summer go? Seriously?!? Here it is, the first day of school already! The kids were so, so excited to go see their friends and experience their first day. They both said they were sad that summer and swimming were over and that they weren't quite ready to go back, but underneath, I could tell they were totally excited! ...and that makes it a little bit easier for me to send them back. They both were up and dressed when I came downstairs this morning (thank you Noah, for being such an early bird!!). They had their breakfast and then we stepped outside for some quick pictures before time to jump in the car. With a quick kiss and an I love you, they were off and out the door on a new adventure and a brand new school year! I hope they have an awesome year. <3 p="">3>

Green Meadow's End Of Season Banquet
We enjoyed watching the kids play yesterday at Green Meadow's End of Season banquet. There were lots of yummy treats/deserts for the kids to enjoy and they played in the water. At the end of the banquet they recognized all the swimmers and gave all the kids League 1 Champion shirts as gifts. The kids love the shirts! So cute! It was a nice way to close out the swim season. We are going to miss swimming and our days at Green Meadow so, so much!

2nd Grade Open House
We found out who Rachel's teacher was on Monday and attended Open House that night at the school to meet the teacher and see her classroom. Mrs. DuPuy was Noah's second grade teacher also, so we are pretty familiar with her schedule and what to expect in the next year. Rachel is super excited for 2nd grade and was pleased to see that her buddy Alison will be in class with her again this year. They were in the same Kindergarten class and missed each other last year in 1st grade. I know Rachel is excited to see her friends and get the new school year started. :) I wish Noah had an Open House this year, but he will find out who his group of teachers is on the first day of school on Wednesday. We do know that he is in the Leopards in the 5th grade Biome.

The girls, Rachel and Emma both made it to finals for their co-ed relays and also their freestyle relays. They were so excited to have made it back for the finals and not only that, they got to compete and swim together for their last event - the free relay. I loved seeing them get to compete together at this last meet of the summer! They came in 2nd in their heat and 10th over all for the 8 & under Girls!! So very proud of all our swimmers! Green Meadow came in 2nd in the meet only to KRC. What a great summer!!
