8 Months Old

Wow - Eight months old already - That seems so amazing. Kate is growing fast and learning so much. She has two brand new teeth that you can see in the photos. They just popped through in the last week. She is sitting up great now and only falls over when she wants to. She is rolling all over the floor to where ever she feels the whim to go. I have a feeling it's not going to be too long before she's crawling all over the place (note to self... must baby proof the house). In the last month she has had her first Thanksgiving - where she enjoyed herself very much, attended a few birthday parties, eaten several new foods, and just generally been a blessing to all of us. She is a happy baby as long as you share your food with her. She is wearing clothing anywhere from size 3-6 months all the way up to 12 months depending on what it is. We just bought the first case of size 3 diapers and are using up the last of the size 2's. She's saying Da-da along with other nonsense sounds she tends to repeat. She is beginning to wave bye-bye (when she wants to) and also can clap her hands. She gets a big kick out of clapping her hands for us. She is a busy baby girl - always playing with something and every single thing goes into her mouth. We continue to learn her personality and love her more every single day.

A Hello Kitty Birthday!

Fun, family and friends filled Rachel's day on Saturday as everyone got together to celebrate her fourth birthday. We met up at Sandy Springs park and were blessed with incredible weather for a few hours during the party. Rachel was so excited because until now it's always just been our little family on her birthday. I know she was thrilled to have all her cousins and friends join her on her special day. After playing for a while we all joined in singing Happy Birthday while she blew out her candles. We shared Hello Kitty cake and ice cream and watched while she opened up her presents. Thanks to everyone who helped to make her day very special! =)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope all of you had a happy Thanksgiving shared with the ones you love the most. We had a great day filled with family, fun, good food and lots of football. We started out the day with Don and Darla at their house with Uncle Larry, Aunt Bev, Donny, Dodie, Colin, Eliot and Isaac. The food was yummy and the company was good too. We shared a great meal and then headed outside for some football fun. It was good to watch the boys play together and I got to do what I like to do - take lots of pictures!
After football we loaded up and headed over to Mom's house where we shared the evening meal with her, Uncle Brian, Amie, Olivia, Dave, Chris, Christina, Emma, Chloe and Lydia. The kids played outside on the playset swinging and sliding while we adults huddled inside staying warm. Kids have an amazing ablility to withstand the cold for some swings and slides! They played moonsand inside and lots of dress up. Dave seemed to enjoy Noah's Star Wars outfits and light saber battles. Kate enjoyed her first Thanksgiving meal of sweet potato casserole, carrot soufle, and Mamaw's famous dressing. She enjoyed every single bite! It was nice to spend time with everyone and be together for Thanksgiving this year - so many years we were away that it is super special now to be here with everyone!
