Easter @ Mom's

We all gathered together at Mom's house to celebrate Easter. Mom made a wonderful meal lot ham, potatoes, spinach maria, sweet potato casserole, veggies, rolls and more… The food is always wonderful and the company is pretty awesome too. The kids all played together outside, swinging and playing games. Mom hid eggs for the kids to find and they were all excited to hunt for them. We all just love being together as we celebrate the real reason for the holiday. Happy Easter!!

2014: Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny has left the kids eggs to hunt every since their very first Easters. The kids usually can't wait until we finish breakfast to get outside and hunt for the eggs. This year was no different. The excitement with each egg that's found is wonderful to see. I love their squeals of joy when they discover a hidden egg and wonder at what might be inside.

Easter Morning

The kids were excited to find that the Easter Bunny had visited in the night. They came and got me before they dug into their baskets (a tradition I am so glad I started long, long ago when they were just old enough to crawl out of their own beds). I do so love to see their joy and reactions to their treats. They were excited to find new books, sweet bunnies (and a Yoda too!), a small craft - birdhouses to paint for the girls and a wooden race car for Noah to build, and of course, chocolate rabbits, peeps and all the yummy Easter treats they love…

Easter Egg Hunt @ Fairview Methodist Church

The kids had a great time at the Easter Egg Hunt at Fairview Methodist Church. Rachel invited her sweet friend Emma to go with us and I know all the kids had a ball. They had so much for the kids to do there! The food was all free and the kids got to choose from nachos, snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy -- they chose cotton candy! There was face painting, bounce houses, STILTS (the kids all LOVED these!), a wagon ride around the church grounds, crafts and of course, the egg hunt! The kids all gathered up to sing songs and hear about the resurrection of Jesus Christ before the hunt and there was a drawing for comic book Bibles. Emma won one, but since she had the same book at home, she gave hers to Rachel. It was a great day, filled with lots of fun!
