Trick or Treat!!!

Happy Halloween! We had a great night spent with Grammy and Papa. We all loved watching the kids go trick or treating. Noah was so excited all day long that it was 'Trick or Treat Day'! He did awesome this year saying "Trick or Treat" loudly and saying thank you when he was handed candy. Rachel was amazing too, walking right up with Noah and holding her pumpkin up to be filled. Then she would run back down to us to show us what she got. It was adorable and we loved watching both of them run from house to house. When we got back Noah loved handing out our candy as well, giving huge handfulls to the kids at the door. I loved seeing Noah's enthusiasm for it all. Rachel couldn't get enough chocolate to eat... she takes after her Mommy. ;)

The Pumpkin Patch -- Noah's Class Trip

Today was Noah's class trip to Hidden Valley Farm to the pumpkin patch. We went as a family a few weeks ago and his class trip was actually planned two Monday's ago (with rain on both of the past Mondays, the trip was a little late this year). However, today was a beautiful day to go and the kids all seemed to have a blast. They went on a hayride, played in the hay bales, climbed on the giant hay spider, checked out the scarecrows (they have a scarecrow competition each year, so there are lots of them), had a snack and everyone got to pick out a pumpkin. I enjoyed watching Noah run around with the boys in his class playing tag and jumping off the big pile of hay. Rachel had a good day too following Mommy and Noah when he wasn't too busy with his friends. The leaves are gorgeous here right now and we all enjoyed the morning outside.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins last night - Noah was so excited and kept telling us all day that he just could not wait! It was cute to watch his excitement about it. Last year he drew his face on all by himself and this year was no different. Noah cracks me up though, because he draws the tiniest little faces. It was hard actually getting the knife in there to cut it just like he drew it and once I did, I had to cut vents in the back so enough air would get in to keep the candle lit. He actually drew faces all over his pumpkin (It's pretty intersting in the daylight, ha!). We let him pull out his own pumpkin 'guts' this year ... I'm not sure if he was greatful to us for that, or not.. ha ha. You can see from the picture his expressions as he fished out the first big handful. He did stick with it though until he got out all he could without help. Rachel didn't want a thing to do with any of it. She wouldn't touch her pumpkin once it had been cut open, didn't want to even look at the yucky stuff! She was however, a great little seed picker-upper when one would accidently drop on the floor. Have I mentioned that I love this time of year....?

Last Soccer Game of the Season

Today was Noah's last soccer game for the fall season. He seemed to have fun and a smile on his face the whole time. I have enjoyed watching him play soccer and I think he has a good time playing. He seems to be getting more and more interested in sports as time goes by. Noah's coach's name was Bobby and he did a great job with these kids. He was inspiring and had so much energy! Which is just what Noah needs - to be surrounded by and encouraged by someone with lots of energy. I'm glad Noah's debut season with soccer was with Bobby and this team.

'Happy Fall' Party 2007

Noah had his 'Happy Fall' party yesterday at preschool. The kids were cute all wearing their leaf hats and playing fall games... We enjoyed watching Noah play with the other little boys in his class. The classroom this year doesn't have the see through glass like the classroom he was in last year and Doug and I miss being able to arrive early and watch him interacting with all the other kids. Rachel even got to join in on some of the fun and eat some of the treats.

Super Dude

Noah recieved these Superman jammies from a friend of mine and he just adores them. He just got to start wearing them because the last week here has been pretty cold with highes in the 50's. He loves these and the fact that they have a cape and his favorite thing to do while wearing them is to 'fly' onto the bed. (Imagine him running into his room and throwing himself at his bed at full speed). It totally cracks us up.
Rachel and her favorite friend -- Elmo... oh and of course... her purse full of 'stuff'. ;)
