Happy 10th Birthday, Noah!!!

 Happy Birthday, Noah!!! We can't believe it has been 10 years since you came into our lives. We love you now more than ever and you are so incredibly special to us. You are definitely one of the best things that has ever happened to us.
We started the day with do-nuts for breakfast from Dunkin' Donuts on the way to school. After school (and after he finished running club), we surprised him by picking him up (all of us - Doug took the day off from work) and heading to Knoxville to see Wreck It Ralph at the theater and then dinner at Steak N Shake. After that we all came home to share Snow Cream (Noah's favorite ice cream) and more cake. Poor guy, had a bit of a fever the night of his birthday. He was looking a little bit tired. Bless his heart. Love this boy.

Tomorrow He'll Be 10

 I cannot believe we have had this sweet and wonderful boy for 10 years. It is simply amazing to think that he has been here and with us for that long and yet, I can't remember much of what life was like before him. He has the most gentle heart and spirit. He is a hard worker at school, is an awesome big brother and strives to be a good friend and a good person. He is always trying to think of others first, before himself. Every morning, the first thing he does, is give me 'Good Morning Loving' - a great big bear hug and a kiss. I hope he never stops doing that. :) He is growing into a young man right before our eyes. He still loves Legos and Star Wars, video games, Lego Ninjago and Chima, oh yes, and Harry Potter.... and PIZZA. The boy would eat pizza every day of the week. Favorite foods: Pizza at the top of the list, for sure. Macaroni and cheese and chicken strips. He still loves soccer and we are looking forward to the beginning of the season in just a couple of weeks now. His favorite color is navy blue. He participates in Running Club after school and is on the Student Council. No girl interests as of yet- I'm sure it won't be long. Ha! He makes straight A's on his grade cards and we couldn't be more proud of his school work. Love this boy so, so much. We are so lucky to have him.

Birthday Dinner

After Noah's party, we let him choose where we went to dinner, since Doug would have to work on his actual birthday. He chose Chili's. Yum! When we got home, he was ready to dive into his pile of new Legos!!! I took him the next day to Target to spend his gift cards and he picked out a new video game, Skyrim, and what? More Legos, of course!!

Celebrating Noah's 10th Birthday!!!

We celebrated Noah's 10th birthday with a party for him on Sunday with all his friends and family. He invited several of his friends from school and all the cousins to come and help him celebrate. We partied 'Lego Ninjago' style and had red, black, white, green and blue colors along with a "Zane" Ninja cake, cupcakes, "Zane" sugar cookies and ice cream -- all Noah's favorites. He and his friends ran around playing swords and nerf guns before we had cake and ice cream. After all the food, Noah was happy to open his presents up. He got lots of Legos, a remote control helicopter, a couple of games, a Star Wars model, some gift cards and a Kindle Fire! He was so excited! After the presents, some of the kids played Minecraft on the X-box, while the others watched. All had ideas on what to do and just how to do it. All in all, it was incredibly chaotic, with 20+ kids running around and parying, but Noah had a smile on his face all day, and that makes it all utterly worth it. Love that boy, so much. So glad he had a great day and a great party. Special thanks to everyone who came and helped us all celebrate Noah reaching the big double digits!!
