He loves washing his hands...

or should I say, filling the sink up with water and splashing in it!? Hey, as long as there is soap and water involved, it gets the job done, right? He actually is good at the whole hand washing thing. I know his teachers at daycare were amazed that he likes washing his hands. They have to make all the other kids go back and wash when they go potty. Speaking of the potty, it looks like we may have that one conquered *knock on wood*. Noah has been doing AWESOME for the last few weeks - We are proud & happy parents. As Noah says - Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Yay Noah! =)

She loves a bath...

Man, BOTH my kids love baths! They totally calm them down and make them happy as little ducks splashing around in puddles. You gotta love that...

First Taste

Mmmmmm, Cereal... She had her first taste of rice cereal today. She was a little startled with the first bite, but warmed right up to it. She was sucking it out of the spoon by the end of the meal. Too cute!

Where is the time going??

Night-Night

Our sweet Rachel is such a good sleeper. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 2 months old. It is amazing to me - I didn't expect her to do that until much, much later. She snuggles in, pulls her blanket up, has her bink and off she goes to dreamland.

Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter morning - Noah loved his Easter goodies, but of course, his favorite thing in his basket was the Peanut's Train. He played and played with it. Lots of other goodies to keep him busy today as well. Rachel seemed to enjoy the things that she got. She likes chewing on her bunnies. ;)Hope you all had a wonderful day as well!!

Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green & Purple

Noah had a blast this morning coloring eggs. It was his first time doing this and he really enjoyed it. He would say "Noah can do it, Noah can do it!" He didn't need ANY help from us. He is becoming very independant these days. =) He colored eggs for himself and for Rachel. I think we only ended up with three broken ones, but hey, they are GREAT in potato salad!

The Hunt Is On...

Today Noah had an Easter egg hunt at daycare. He did well - he came home with a whole basketfull of eggs (remind me next year to send stickers or bouncy balls for fillers!! He has sooo much candy!!). Plus he had a party at afternoon snack time where he got some cookies and a cupcake. Talk about being sugared up! =) So much fun. We also have been having egg hunts here at home to get him ready for the one at school. The photos are of him hunting here at the house.

Could She BE Any Happier???

She was so tickled to be there on the Bunny's lap - Poor Noah, he was terrorized. He passed on the Easter Bunny photo this year. Poor guy. He didn't stop crying the whole time we were there near 'the bunny'. Maybe next year....

Getting Ready for Easter

Noah has spent the week doing Easter crafts at daycare and Storytime. It was cute this morning seeing him trying to color in the lines when they gave him his bunny hat to color. I was so proud of him when I noticed him doing that. =) He is also learning to cut paper with scissors and is getting better every time we work on it. His favorite love here of late though, is play-doh... he just can't get enough of it. Don't all kids love play-doh? I remember when I was little that it was the greatest thing...
Rachel is doing great. She is growing, growing, growing. Love that she is smiling and happy so much. Gotta love those toothy little grins she gives now. It still amazes me that she has teeth already.
We have been spending more and more time outside as the weather allows. Noah took some intrest in hitting a golfball yesterday when we were playing around in the backyard. It did my heart proud to see him try to swing the club. Rachel seems to enjoy being outside as long as the sun isn't in her eyes. ;)

Binkys & Blankies

It's all about comfort. Rachel has recently begun holding her blanket up by her face as she falls asleep and she loves her binky (yes, finally!) now. She isn't a constant binky baby like Noah was, but she wants it when it is time to go to sleep or if she gets fussy. Ofcourse the blanket thing... well, lets just say I check her as soon as she falls asleep so that I can uncover her sweet little face...

Growing....

Milk, 2 hot dogs, 2 servings of peaches, a pile of Doritos, & 4 pieces of cheese... yep, that's what he had for dinner tonight. It wasn't like he hadn't eaten all day either... he had two waffles for breakfast, a Mc D's Mighty Kids Meal (6 piece chicken nuggets) for lunch and grahm crackers for a snack. As I sit and type this he has asked for another hot dog and an orange. I don't think so... Where's all that food going?!? Must be growing - let's hope! =)

Busy

That would be the word I would use to describe Noah right now. He is a busy little person and all the while he is going about being busy we constantly hear "mommy play _______ (yes, just fill in the blank), Daddy play _______" . Today was filled with Thomas, Legos, 'Horsey' rides, Play-do, puzzles, books, hanging out in his tent, a walk and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Oh, and our son has a strange, yet oddly cool, fascination with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He goes around singing it at the top of his lungs. Today Doug downloaded several Mozart works on the computer and played them for him - when Daddy whistled or Mommy sang along we were told to 'Quit it!'. This love of classical music no doubt comes from the Baby Einstein dvds and his new love - Little Einsteins. The photo is of Noah and Daddy having fun in his tent today.
