"Meet The Teacher" @ Foothills Elementary

On Monday night we had "Meet the Teacher" at Rachel's school. She was excited to see that her teacher was Mr. Tinker and she couldn't wait to go and see her new 1st grade classroom! We had a short introduction to Mr. Tinker and his classroom and she got to meet a few of her new classmates. She is getting more excited now that the process has started to go back to school. She was also super excited to pick out her school supplies, including a brand new backpack and lunchbox that she picked out herself. I can't believe my sweet girl is in 1st grade!!

4th Grade Orientation @ Montgomery Ridge

Noah went today to Orientation for 4th grade at Montgomery Ridge Intermediate School. I can't believe our little (okay, big) guy is starting 4th grade, much less a whole new school! He was so super excited to go and see his friends and start the school year off. He couldn't wait to get there. We stopped at his friend Riley's house to pick him and his mom up so we could all ride together. We had thought we would walk in with the boys to make sure they got where they needed to go, but at the drop off it was moving quickly and the kids were jumping out and heading in on their own. After a quick snap of the camera from Ashley, the boys were on their way. They attended the orientation from 7:40 - 10:40. Doug and I attended an Open House to tour the new school when we picked him up. We learned who his new homeroom teacher is, (Mr. Reagan), and also got to see his new classroom. We also saw the gym, cafeteria, and where the lockers are. Noah thought it was hysterical to climb inside one - we're hoping that's the only time that ever happens to him!! I'm glad he is so excited to start school. We also went and got all of the supplies he needed and got everything ready for next Wednesday - the first official day of school!

Last Day Of Swim Practice 2012

Today was the last day of swim practice for the kids. I think they were almost as sad as I was. Ha! I am so glad they have developed such a love for swimming. Makes my heart so proud. They both have improved SO much this summer!! Doug and I sat down with their ribbons from this summer and last and compared their times. Not only did they shave off time from last summer, but they shaved off a ton of time from the beginning of this summer as well - sometimes more than 10 seconds!! They have both done amazingly and we hope they continue to want to swim in the summer so come. I love to see them swim!

Green Meadow VS Concord Hills Swim Meet

Green Meadow had their last swim meet on the 23rd -- so sad to see the season coming to an end. I know the kids are going to miss swimming so much. They both seem to love it as much as I did. They both did really well and we are so, so proud of them for their swimming this summer!!
