Hello Sunshine

We had thunderstorms today - I love thunderstorms. I love the thunder, the lightning and the rain. I also love little people coloring with chalk on the wet ground when the sun comes out. Little people who color pictures of themselves with their mama. :) It's been a long week - a rough week, honestly. I'm not used to not being able to jump up and take care of business when I need to. I am thankful for everyone who has helped us this week while I was recovering from my tonsillectomy. You were all awesome and I appreciate it. Love you all.

Happy 8th Birthday Noah!!!!

Happy Birthday Noah! It's true, we cannot believe it has been eight years since you came into our lives. It seems incredible to think that you have been here for that long. You make our days brighter each and every day and bring so many smiles to our faces. You make us laugh and you are the kindest and most thoughtful boy I know. We love you! We celebrated with more legos with all of our family. It was great seeing everyone and Noah said it was his best birthday yet (of course, he says that every year!). Thanks to everyone who shared the day with us and helped to make it special.

Noah's 8th Birthday Sleepover

Noah decided to celebrate his birthday this year with a few friends from school at a sleepover party. They arrived at 5pm to share pizza, LEGO cupcakes and ice cream and played like crazy after that. I thought it was pretty funny that the most popular toy in the playroom with these boys was Rachel and Kate's play kitchen. They played for a long time cooking for each other, while one or two would pop in shooting everyone with the nerf guns. There was plenty of LEGOS, X Box and Playstation time to entertain them as well. I think the last one finally fell asleep at 10:40, and then I discovered 3 of them up at 12:30 before they all fell back to sleep around 1am... I finally headed to bed at 2, only to be awoken by the whole crew at 5:45am. Wow - I think the thing that struck me the most during the whole thing was how LOUD 8 little boys and one little girl can be. Oh, yes, Rachel was right in the middle of it all the whole time. She loved every minute of it! Noah had a lot of fun and declared this year's party to be the best ever. :)
