Celebrating Kate's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated Kate's 2nd birthday on Sunday with our family there. It was a sweet and special day for our sweet girl. She celebrated 'farm' style, as that is what she's into right now. She loves to sing Old MacDonald and see cows and 'horseys'. Kate went down for a nap at noon and at 1:50 when she woke up, 10 minutes before her party, she found the house transformed. I had set up all the party decorations, balloons, her cakes, and her little farm themed sand and water table we had gotten her for her birthday. She was so excited when she saw everything and I loved the way her little mouth stayed in an 'O' as she Oooooooed and Ahhhhhhed. So cute. We celebrated with a farm themed white cake topped with a cute little cow, horse, and rooster that came with the sand and water table. I got so lucky that they were the perfect toppers for her cake. We also enjoyed a chocolate 'horsey' cake and icecream. Kate was so cute trying to blow out her candles. She was trying so hard to blow them out, but ended up needing just a little extra help. After she enjoyed her cake she set to work opening her presents. She knew exactly how it was done this year and needed very little help. She was so happy with everything she recieved. Happy 2nd Birthday Kate!!

Our Kate-Kate is 2 today! She had a very busy birthday. She woke up this morning to me singing Happy Birthday to her and we had to get ready for our day. We began with taking Noah and Rachel to school and then meeting Aunt Chrissy for coffee at Panera. Kate loves to share Chris's muffin and steal bites of my bagel as well. She also loves all the attention she gets from the people in Panera - she's always all grins. After breakfast we headed over to Dr. Bean's office where she had her 2 year well check up. She is in perfect condition and health - yay! She weighs 23lbs 11oz which puts her at the 10th percentile for weight and was 33 and 3/4 inches tall, which placed her at the 48th percentile for height. Her head was 49 1/2 inches at the 90th percentile. Dr. Bean guestimates her to grow up to be around 5' 7 1/2". After one quick shot (Prevnar13), which she quickly recovered from we headed over to Chickfila to meet Daddy for lunch. Daddy headed for work and we headed home for Kate to take a quick nap and for me to get on the treadmill. After picking up Rachel at preschool we met Aunt Chrissy and the girls at the mall for some playtime. Kate had told me she wanted to 'go play' at the mall, so we had to get some play time in for the birthday girl. :) After picking up Noah we headed over to Mamaw's house for pizza and cupcakes. Talk about a full and busy day! I think she had a great one though. I can't believe she's 2 years old. It seems impossible. Love that little squishy girl so much! Happy Birthday Kate-Kate!!
