Noah and Rachel both had their first soccer games of the spring season today. Noah played really well this morning. His game was at 8:15 and it was a bit chilly, but the boys played hard and won! I was so proud of them! Noah is getting better and better at soccer with every season and it is exciting to watch him play.
Rachel played soccer for the very first time ever this morning. Long story short, the director of AYSO hadn't assigned her a coach as of yesterday morning and after an e-mail and a couple of phone calls I was assured that they were getting her a coach, a team and a game this morning at 10am! I was a mama on a mission yesterday and she was so proud today as she stepped out on the field. Her coach had brought her own daughter's extra uniform for her to wear (which was so sweet) and Rachel was so happy. She had the biggest smile on her face and even though she had never played (even a practice) before, she did really great! She even scored a goal to help her team, the Angels, win the game 6-5. The look on her face after she scored that goal was absolutely priceless. Makes me think back to when Noah scored his very first goal. :)
