My good friend Renee and I decided to take the kids and check out the carnival that had come to town for the week. The kids had seen it as we had driven by several times and it was all they could talk about. Kate could not stop asking to please, please, go on the ferris wheel. They lit up like Christmas trees when we told them we were going to go and check it out. We ended up buying the arm bands so that the kids could ride all the rides as often as they could in the time that we would be there and they took full advantage. The eveing favorite seemed to be the Typhoon, which was a two person car that was kind of whirly gig like and it tossed you and turned you and the kids loved it. Poor Kate watched a couple of times while the older kids rode the bigger rides and I ended up walking down to the elephants and the airplanes with her while we were wating. Noah took her on the dragon ride (like a tea cup ride that spins) and in the fun house a couple of times too - such a good big brother. Mostly, a wonderful time was had by all. We ended up staying almost a full three hours and we rounded out the night with a yummy funnel cake. It's a must do when you go somewhere like a carnival. So. Much. Fun. I loved seeing the pure joy on all of their faces. Kate finally, finally got to go on that ferris wheel ride and the bigger kids had a lot of fun too. Good times.
