Just a regular evening for us: We'd just come from dinner at Arby's. Noah practicing soccer on the field, the girls watching, and Kate trying to sneak onto the field to kick the ball herself... Little imp. =)

Our Life In Pictures - Years 2006, 2007, 2008
This was my birthday gift from Doug this year and it has made me so very, very happy! These books are 'Wow'!! When I came across a post on a favorite scrapbook artists website I was so excited to see a company that would actually print your blog! For years I have wanted to print our blog out, but due to cost of printer ink and paper and the numerous amount of photos I post I knew it would cost a fortune to do it. With Blog2print/Shared Books, suddenly it was possible. I was so very excited to find a big box on the front porch today when I got home from picking up Rachel from school. We had ordered the first three years of our blog in (4) books - I was holding years 2006, 2007 (split into 2 books) and 2008 in my hands. It is wonderful to have the blog backed up in hard copy and know it is safely preserved if the website ever crashes. Plus we have years of memories printed out and journaled.... and they are beautiful, hard cover books with a dedication page and table of contents with each post labeled. What a wonderful, wonderful gift!! Thank you so much Doug!! I love you!

Spirit Week -- Wacky Hair Day!
It's Spirit Week at Noah's school this week. Today was Wacky Hair day. Noah was so very excited to wear his hair all crazy! He decided we needed to try and give him a faux-hawk/mo-hawk. After a handfull of hair gel, some blow drying and a half a can of hair spray this is what we had! He loved it and he even took second place in the school for the craziest hair (first place went to the gym teacher, who had balloons in her hair). I would say Wacky Hair day was a success!
Practice
I took Kate over to Maryville College today to play around with the new camera. There is an old set of stone stairs I have always loved there. I've never tried to shoot in manual before and it has always intrigued me, so I thought I'd give it a try. Bad lighting and a grumpy baby doesn't help with the learning process. ;) There are a couple of shots I liked before I gave up and handed over the binky and blankey. Christina took those last couple of shots this morning at breakfast. Love those!

First Fall Game
Today was Noah's first game of the fall season. He missed his official first game last week due to rain. He played well, hustling and trying hard. We were proud of him and he even scored a goal to help his team win the game : 6-4. All the boys played hard and did well.

Teddy Bear Picnic
Rachel had a Teddy Bear Picnic at school today. They were all so cute in the teddy bear shirts they had painted a few days before. She got to take her teddy bear and a blanket to sit on while she ate her lunch. The whole day was wrapped around a teddy bear theme with art, a special lunch, a Little Bear movie and games. She had a wonderful day!
Happy
This makes me soooo very happy! I love my old camera. It's been a great camera. However, a little over a year ago we started having delay problems with it and many times we 'miss' the moment we're trying to photograph. This is our new camera -- it's the new version of our old camera and it is wonderful! Thank you Doug. You rock!

Turning 32
32 - Back to the even numbers. I had a great birthday this year -- Doug took me out to a great lunch at the Brewery before he had to go to work. My sweet mama made me dinner and a yummy pineapple upside down cake. It was sooo good!... and we found out Kate loves pineapple upside down cake as much as her mama does! I finished out the night watching The Notebook that Darla brought to me for my birthday -- GREAT movie! Thank you to everyone who made my birthday special. =)Thursday, September 09, 2010
