Wild Bear Falls

A little over a week ago Noah was invited to a birthday party up in Gatlinburg at an indoor water park. This has got to be one of the coolest places I have seen to have a birthday party! (Especially if your child has a birthday in the winter months.) Noah and the boys from his class that were there had sooo much fun with the water slides, water cannons, dumping buckets and the lazy river (their favorite). There was a cool little kid area that even the big kids enjoyed and also two BIG water slides that the boys didn't try. It all made for a very fun day. Even our little Kate had a wonderful time in the last little bit when I stuck her in the water.

A Trip to Look Rock

Noah took this one! =) Good job Noah!

We tried to take a drive up the Dragon today but it is (and will be for the next 6 weeks or so) closed due to rock slides. Since we were right there, we turned up Foothills Parkway and drove up to Look Rock. We got the kids out and hiked up to the top. The kids were very excited and practically ran up the mountain. Doug had Kate in the Baby Bjorn and she giggled all the way up to the top as well. It was a nice outing for our day. =)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Our little leprechauns... and the big leprechaun. ;) Have a happy day!

She Can't Walk A Bit.... But She Can DRIVE All Over The House!

Kate refuses to even 'finger walk' but she still gets around, and quickly! She army crawls like a champ and she can scoot around on this little car like it's nothing. She loves it and gets sooooo proud of herself! Love it!

Noah's Basketball "End of Season" Party

Noah had his "End of Season" party tonight for his basketball team. It was cute to watch how excited all the boys were about their winning season. They went all season undefeated - 8 and 0. The party was held at Gatti's Pizza and the kids all enjoyed the buffet and cookie cake afterward followed by the rewards ceremony. Each child recieved an engraved trophy with their record, number, name and team name. It really was cute to see these kids faces as they accepted their trophies. As the basketball season comes to a close we arrived home to a message on the answering machine from his new AYSO soccer coach. Game on!

Last Day of Gymnastics - 2nd Session

Rachel finished her second session of gymnastics today -- She has improved so much and really seems to love going. We are glad she seems to enjoy it so much. We are trying to decide what our next move is - whether we let her continue the classes with Parks & Rec or we look into an official gymnastics gym.

11 Months Old

I guess you could say she's 11 months old! We went from February 28 to March 1st, so somewhere in there we missed the 30th. It must be so strange to have a leap year birthday. =) So, our baby girl is 11 months old and my, how fast time has flown by. It is really hard to believe that in just a few short weeks Kate will be a year old. It doesn't seem like it's been nearly that long. She is changing like crazy and allllll over the house! She is so fast now at her crazy little crawl. Mom and Chris have both mentioned that it looks like she is swimming along. Kind of funny to see, but she does travel fast. She is beginning to 'talk' to us by saying "Bye-bye" and waving. She said to Doug the other day - "Bye-bye Da-da". It was the cutest thing ever. She says "Hi", "Bye-Bye", "Da-da", "Ma-ma" and I'm pretty sure she's trying hard to say "done!". She has said it several times when she was done eating, but I am not completely convinced that that is what she is trying to say. She loves a bath - that might be her most favorite past time. She loves to crawl around and see what she can get into. She also loves anything with buttons. Phones, remotes, cameras, anything with buttons. It's funny how hard she tries to get to these things. She still loves to eat and is picking back up with it now that she is getting well. She is still eating baby food, but can mostly eat what we are eating too. She is still in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month/some 12 month clothing. She seems to be our 'little'baby - it will be interesting to see how big/tall she gets. She is way smaller than either Noah or Rachel were at this age. Most of all, as usual, she continues to thrill us all and make us smile every single day. She definitely fits right in with our little family.
