Noah's Class Trip to the Little Rock Zoo

Rachel and I got to accompany Noah and his class today for their field trip to the Little Rock Zoo. It is one of our favorite places to go during the summer and this was our first trip there this year. Noah had a blast and he couldn't wait to see his favorite - the lions. He was so excited and kept asking "When, when, when are we going to see the lions?" The giraffes were very funny this trip too - the Momma Giraffe was staying in it's house with its baby, but it wouldn't stop kissing the kids through the glass. Noah thought that was hysterical. This was the first trip for Rachel that she really seemed very interested and excited about what was going on. Her little hands never stopped pointing and waving at the animals the whole time we were there. She got it and enjoyed seeing all the different kinds of animals. I love to see the wonder in a little child's eyes the first time they actually notice the animals and are amazed by what they see. She would point and say "Ooooooooooooooh!". Love that. Love that Noah had a great trip with all his friends.

Fun at Braxton's 4th Birthday Party

Noah and Rachel both had a lot of fun tonight at Braxton's birthday party. He had a Bob the Builder theme and the kids ate cake and played in the pool and on the Slip 'N Slide. These kids love anything to do with water so it was fun to watch them splash and play together. Happy Birthday Braxton!

A's Team Photo 2007

We got Noah's team photo in the mail today. =) The team photo is a little hard to see, but if you click on it, it will open a new window with a larger picture. Noah is kneeling in the bottom left corner. Photos taken by Legend's Photography here in Saline County.

Being Silly...

The kids have been playing really good together lately. It's nice for Noah because he finally has a constant playmate... this is what we've been waiting for... for them to be able to play together and get along. They do really, really good together as long as Noah isn't trying to play trains and Rachel is even learning to just push the trains along the tracks instead of tearing it all apart (yes, we've been known to call her Babyzilla quite often). They love to play cars together and Rachel has taken a big intrest in building with Legos lately too. These pictures were taken this morning not long after they woke up... (that explains the bed-head...=) It's cute to watch them together...

Hot! Hot! Hot!

The weather has been unbelievable here the last week with several days in the upper 80's. After getting home yesterday from lunch we decided to pull out the sprinkler and let the kids have some fun. Noah was so excited and loved every minute of it... Rachel... not so much. She decided she'd rather play in the sandbox, although when I was running through with Noah she would follow me through making little pitiful noises the whole time. I'm not sure why she thought since I was doing it, she had to too. It was kind of funny. Noah has reached the point where he is not afraid of the big water spray anymore. I remember the past few years he would want the water pressure just barely on so that he could play in the water as it barely turned the sprinkler... this year he kept saying "Make it faster Mommy!!! Make it faster and faster and faster!!!".

T-ball Update and Wowah =)

Noah's been doing pretty good with his T-ball games. He does great hitting the ball and running the bases... it's the paying attention to what's happening the rest of the game. These games are a riot to watch. Saturday Rachel was yelling "Wowah" the whole time Noah was out in the field and clapping for him. It was so cute to watch. She just learned to say his name this weekend.

All by herself...

Ofcourse... she wants to do everything by herself... Please, someone tell this kid to slow down a little and just enjoy being a baby... ;)
