My Teeth HURT!

Yep, she's got TWO now! And it looks like those top two front ones aren't too far behind this first set....

Busy

That would be the word I would use to describe Noah right now. He is a busy little person and all the while he is going about being busy we constantly hear "mommy play _______ (yes, just fill in the blank), Daddy play _______" . Today was filled with Thomas, Legos, 'Horsey' rides, Play-do, puzzles, books, hanging out in his tent, a walk and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Oh, and our son has a strange, yet oddly cool, fascination with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He goes around singing it at the top of his lungs. Today Doug downloaded several Mozart works on the computer and played them for him - when Daddy whistled or Mommy sang along we were told to 'Quit it!'. This love of classical music no doubt comes from the Baby Einstein dvds and his new love - Little Einsteins. The photo is of Noah and Daddy having fun in his tent today.

First Day of "School"

Check out our cutie with his 'super cool' backpack before school this morning. We were trying to get Noah psyched up for daycare and he thought his backpack was pretty neat. =) After a trip to McD's for breakfast I dropped him off in his new room where they were running out the door to play outside. This was a great thing as he was excited to play outside on the equipment. Easy transition, right? Well, until about 10 minutes later when he figured out I wasn't there... When I left he was cuddled up with the teacher - I know he's going to be fine, but it's hard. I think harder for me than him! I know he's going to have so much fun playing there though and making new friends. Besides, it's only 2 days a week, right? ;)

She's Four Months Old today...

She's four months old today =). We can hardly believe it. She went for her four month appointment today and while we were waiting for the doctor to see her I discovered she has a TOOTH! Yep, her first tooth, with her second one not far behind. The first one is on the bottom and has already broken through the skin-we can see the ridges of the one next to it as well. She spent her last night in the cradle last night (Mommy managed to stretch it out until she was 4 months old) =). She is tucked in her crib tonight and sleeping soundly after a rough evening (pretty sure this is due to the shots {and teeth perhaps as well}). Here are a few recent photos of our girl. ;)

A Day at the Little Rock Zoo

Noah, Rachel and I had fun today at the Little Rock Zoo with our friends Ramona and Braxton. Braxton is two and a half months younger then Noah and they are great friends. I love watching them play and have fun together.

Our Baby Rolled Over Today!

She's growing so fast and changing so much and doing so many new things... Here she is rolling over for the first time today. I was taking some pictures of her (who would have guessed!?!) and she just rolled right over! I was excited to get the first time on camera.

A Bigger Boy - A Bigger Tent

Noah recieved a cute 'Camping Out' set from his Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Chris this year for his birthday and it has been a big hit with him. Especially today when he got Phoebe to join him inside the tent. You can see how much he has grown in these photos - the smaller tent photo of Noah and Phoebe was taken almost exactly one year apart from the new picture. Where does the time go?

Aquarium in the Smokies

While on our trip to Tennessee we got the chance to go to Ripley's aquarium in Gatlinburg. It was a blast. Noah loved seeing all the fish and when Rachel wasn't sleeping she looked at a few fish too (perhaps all the bright colors).

Happy Birthday Noah!

Happy Birthday to our sweet boy - He's 3 today... we can hardly believe it! He was so excited about his presents and having a "Thomas" birthday. Good times. =)

Baking Cookies

So we made the easy ones... but he was happy all the same! =) Noah enjoyed sticking these place and bake cookies on the pan and watching them bake through the oven door. I think he liked 'baking' them even more than eating them! He is getting excited about Valentines Day and his birthday. It will be a busy day tomorrow as we have Story Time in the morning and are seeing Curious George tomorrow afternoon with his little friend Braxton.

Sweet Cheeks

When ever we are out with the kids and people see Rachel the first thing we hear is "Look at those CHEEKS!". It cracks us up how that is the first thing people notice about her. Even the nurses at the hospital when she was born would call her "Cheeks". We don't mind though, there's just more room to KISS! =)

Shots, Sleep, Shoes & Haircuts

Today was the day - Rachel got her first series of shots at her well baby appointment. She weighed in at a big 12lbs, 4.4oz and was 24 inches long. Bless her heart - she got 4 shots and it was so pitiful. I think it was the maddest we have ever seen (or heard) her. Luckily it didn't last long and she slept most of the day away. Speaking of sleeping - she has slept through the night about 4 times now. She seems to take after her Daddy and likes sleep *almost* as much as he does. ;) Noah is doing good - he and Daddy went and got hair-cuts the other day at Sports Clips. The lady who cut his hair had Thomas Trains - She was super cool with him after that (thanks Miss Kelly, it was nice to have a hair-cut with no tears). He also got some new shoes just like Daddy's... he thinks that's pretty cool too.

She's 2 Months Old... and Smiling!

I can't believe my baby girl is two months old already! It's nuts! She has been blessing us with her sweet baby smiles in the last week and I was lucky enough to catch a couple with the camera. Had to share one of these with you all...

Discovery...

We checked out the Children's Museum of Discovery last Thursday and sadly were dissapointed. The one in Downtown Little Rock was a bit of a flop. Noah DID enjoy the THREE Thomas the Tank Engine tables that were set up inside though. We enjoyed the one historical area in the museum with the indian archives and also the bugs/spiders exhibit.

An Arkansas Blizzard

Noah was enthralled with the little bit of snow we got the other morning. He ran around the house from window to window yelling snow, so before we headed out to the store I let him have a bit of fun in the flurries. They were huge and gorgeous and perfect because they didn't lay on the ground! =) Just the kind we like. He was having a ball in it.

10 Pounds 9 Ounces

That's what she weighed today at my doctor's appointment! I couldn't believe it - when did that happen? Where did my little newborn go? Already she is noticing her toys on her bouncy seat bar and looking to find Mommy and Daddy's voices. She is amazing and we are loving every minute of it!

Noah is doing well with potty training (finally!) -- Yay!!! He still likes his diapers, but I think the whole underwear thing is finally getting through to him. This is a good thing. =) He is also keeping busy with Storytime at the Library on Mondays, a playdate on Tuesdays, and fun stuff with Daddy (and family) on Wednesday and Thursday since his days off have changed. He is still loving all things trains - Thomas, Thomas Legos, Geo Tracks, and the Polar Express.

Two Boys

I loved watching these boys play together. It really does bring joy to both Doug's and my heart to see them running around laughing and having a fun time. We really enjoyed the visit with Donny, Dodie, and Colin and hope they will come and stay with us again soon.
