After getting settled in the condo, we couldn't wait to get out on the beach. The kids were soooo excited to see the ocean and to play in the waves and the sand. The bigger kids just ran right in. I was curious to see how Kate would do because Rachel had been terrified of the ocean at her age. Kate had no trouble, just walking right in and checking it out. It was a wonderful day with lots of wading and swimming in the ocean - the water was so warm and clear. You could see the bottom even out where you were waist deep. It was absolutely gorgeous. After swimming we all played on the beach. Noah dug a big hole (his favorite thing to do) while Rachel built a sand castle and Kate shoveled sand into her bucket over and over. We buried Doug (who laid happily buried in the sand for quite some time). It was so good to be there and to be relaxing and having fun together.
