Rachel was so excited to swim in her very first BLAST meet today! She swam in 5 events: 25 Breaststroke, 50 Butterfly, 25 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke and 100IM (Individual Medley). She did awesome! She came in first in her heat in the breastroke, 2nd in the 100IM, and 2nd in the 25 Freestyle. She tried hard and her times have improved from her summer swimming. She has to be back tomorrow at 7:15am in the morning for warm ups and back to it with another 5 (or 6) events. Tomorrow she'll swim the 25 Backstroke, 25 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, 50 Breaststroke, 100 Freestyle and the Girls 10 and under 200 Medley Relay. Doug will get to join me after he finishes his mid-shift and watch her swim too. I know he was sad to miss her first meet experience today.
