Dying Easter Eggs 2012
On Friday we dyed Easter eggs with Olivia and David, who are in visiting for their spring break. It was a lot of fun to watch how the kids decorated their own eggs - all of them are so different and individual. I love seeing their creativity come out. We started with 5 dozen eggs (Thanks Aldi's for the .69/dozen deal) and ended up with almost a full dozen of cracked ones when we were through. The song of the day was "Egg Salad, Yumma, Yumma in the tune of the Wiggles Fruit Salad song. So funny. Kate did a little better about keeping them whole this year while she was dying them, but later 'tossed' them into her bucket and we had a few casualties at that point. Mamaw joined us while we were at it and she made one of her famous Chickie eggs like the Easter Bunny used to leave for us. He must have learned from her how to make those beautiful eggs! It was a very fun afternoon for all of us!
