Day 3

One step forward, two steps back. We're on Day 3 here. Noah was doing pretty good yesterday - he ate oatmeal for breakfast, 2 bowls of soup for lunch plus half a grilled cheese, and 2 bowls of mac and cheese for dinner. Right after his dinner (around 5) he got really drowsy and went to sleep for the night - not good. He didn't drink enough and woke up this morning dehydrated. We have been forcing him to drink, drink, drink all day today. He doesn't want to drink because it hurts to swallow and even the pain medicine burns as it goes down. Bless his heart. He's gone through a whole bottle of Pedialyte and also a few popcicles. He would only eat the popcicles after I told him it would make his tongue purple (or red.. or yellow...or rainbow). He hasn't wanted to play much today either. His preschool teacher came by and brought him a little present - some puzzles. He played with those for a little while before he sacked out on the couch. That's where he has spent most of the day surrounded by the things that give him the most comfort: his blanket and Doggy. We're hoping tomorrow he will begin to feel better.
