The girls and I were invited by our friends Laura and Mekenzie to go to the Disney On Ice being held in Knoxville - I was so excited to take them and they could not wait to go! I didn't tell them we were going until a day or two before and I loved seeing Rachel's eyes light up at the thought of seeing the princesses skate on the ice! The girls decided to dress for the occasion and wore Rapunzel and Snow White dresses. Mekenzie wore Ariel's wedding dress and they were all so cute! We had spectacular seats (Thanks Brooks!!!) in the front row on the left side of the ice. The show was amazing! The fab five started the program, of course and Kate was thrilled to finally see Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck up close! Nemo followed after the introduction and this was one of my favorites! After Nemo came Belle with the cast from Beauty and the Beast. Both of these were pretty detailed skits. Cinderella, Ariel, Pokahontas, Snow White and Jasmine followed with all their princes. More of the fab five dressed in their Mickey Mouse Club gear came after that. Then there was It's A Small World, Toy Story, Mulan (complete with snow falling from the sky!), Pinochio, the Incredibles and the Lion King followed by all the characters coming out and dancing to one finale song with fireworks. It was a really super show and the girls absolutely loved it! I loved it! :) At the very end the characters came up the sides of the ice rink to see the kids and shake their hands. Rachel and Mekenzie got to shake Minnie Mouse's hand, but Kate didn't manage it and she burst into tears. I felt so sad for her! I helped her back over to the side of the rink and Ariel came up and talked to her and waved at her and it seemed to make her very happy. All in all, I'd say it was a great day for all three of the girls! Thanks again to Laura & Mekenzie for inviting us to go with them! We had a lot of fun!
