Celebrating Noah Turning 11 at Mom's House

 We celebrated Noah's birthday at Mom's tonight and she made him his favorite meal -- chicken tenders. He loves her homemade chicken tenders. Aunt Chrissy and the girls joined us for dinner and cupcakes. Mom gave Noah my dad's treasured alabaster chess set and he LOVED it! I loved seeing his eyes get big when he opened the box and the fact that it belonged to his name sake made him even happier. Love him. So much.

Hurray For SNOW! Almost 7 INCHES!!!

 The kids and I were overjoyed to get almost 7 inches of snow on Tuesday! We didn't think it was ever going to start sticking to the ground because it started snowing at 11:30 in the morning and there was no accumulation until about 7pm that night! It didn't stop snowing until around 10am the next morning and we had a TON of the pretty white stuff to play in. The kids couldn't wait to get out there to play in it and neither could I. After I had fed everybody a good breakfast and I had gotten a little work in, we headed out for snowball fights, building of the snowman and of course, some sledding. Noah had some friends come to play and he enjoyed himself so much he fell asleep at 5 when they went home and only got up long enough to eat dinner before heading back to bed! He was exhausted. Yay for SNOW!

Our Birds

 I have taken to watching the birds off of our back deck. I've always enjoyed watching them because they are such brilliant colors… Back when I used to run every morning in our office (treadmill), I would watch them and now I like to sit and enjoy my coffee while looking at them. After Phoebe died, a sweet friend of mine brought me some birdseed to put out (after I had sent her some pictures I had taken of our birds). She knew that if I fed them, more would come. I love them. I love taking pictures of them.
