I rock Noah to sleep for every nap and every night. I remember hearing caregivers say how bad this is.... clearly they have never rocked their own baby to sleep. I would not give up rocking him or holding him or snuggling him close for anything else in the world.
When Noah started sitting up well, it was like a whole new world for him. He was excited about this new vantage point and way to look things. He was happy to play with the toys on his butterfly mat that he had only been able to look up at before. It was cute to watch him discover how different things were when you were sitting up and looking straight at them.
Noah loved playing in his little pool his first summer. We put him in there a lot because he was so cute to watch and also because we enjoyed it just as much as he did. He loved to splash and play with all his little water toys. The dogs even loved being in on the action. Good times.
We gave Noah his first biter biscuits after he had choked on some saltine crackers the night before. We decided these would be a better start to solids then the crackers that he tried to shove into his mouth whole. He loved them! He couldn't get enough of them even though they were soooo very messy!
Noah loves to be read to. He likes to curl up on my lap in our rocking chair while I read board books to him. He also likes to sit and look through these giant books Mamaw got for him. He will look at these books for a long time. The dinosaur one is his favorite right now. =)
Noah had his first taste of green beans tonight. It is the first food he has had besides his baby cereal and breast milk. He was truely not impressed. His reactions just got worse with each spoonful. We'll just have to keep trying!
