First Practice of Spring Soccer

 Noah had his first practice of the spring soccer season this past Thursday. He is with the same team he was with last season, so it will be good to get back into the swing of things this season. Noah chose to play soccer instead of swimming for BLAST until the summer swim season. It will give him a nice little break before summer. He told us swimming is actually his favorite, but we're glad to see he doesn't want to let go of soccer. I love to watch him play and improve with every single season. Let's do this!

Noah's 11th Birthday Party

 Noah celebrated with his closest friends by having a small sleepover and we went to see the Lego Movie. Noah was so excited to see this movie. He had been waiting for literally months to go and see it. When he said 'Best Day Ever', he may have really meant it this time. So funny. I'm glad he enjoyed it so much. His friends Riley, Andre, Josh and Jacob came to help him celebrate and we followed the movie with pizza, X-Box, Batman movies and cake. He had asked for simply a chocolate cake with chocolate icing with the 'One ring to rule them all' on top. The thing that stood out the most to me -- 11 year old boys are LOUD. Haha, at least I know they were having fun. Poor Noah zonked out at 10pm, while the other boys were all asleep by midnight. They were up at 7am the next morning and going strong… I think that's one of the bigger differences between 11 year old boys and teenagers… No matter how late they go to bed, they wake up at the crack of dawn… :) The boys all really seemed to enjoy themselves and after a breakfast of giant cinnamon rolls and more X-Box the party was a wrap.

Happy 11th Birthday, Noah!!

 11. Years. Old. ---- How did that happen? Seriously? How has it been 11 years since this sweet boy came into our lives? Noah, you have lit up our lives for the past 11 years in a way that we had never know before. You are the kindest and most caring boy I have ever known. You definitely make the world a better place just by being in it. We are so proud of the young man you are becoming. At 11 you are still in love with all things Lego, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Your favorite color is navy blue. You will eat most anything and like almost everything (except manicotti - haha). You can out eat me every time, although you restrain yourself (on your own-- amazing). Your feet are now bigger than mine and I would bet that in the next year or two you are going to shoot past me in height. You still love to swim and are signed up for Spring soccer at AYSO to play for Coach Emily again this season. You tell us your favorite sport is swimming, but you aren't about to give up soccer. You amaze us everyday with your caring. I have never seen a more gentle boy and you are so good with your little sisters. Your dad and I know that you will make an amazing doctor one day (your career plan thus far) or what ever you decided to do in life. Just stick to your guns and never give up! We love you!! We celebrated your special day together as a family by eating one of your favorite soups at home and then heading to Cheddars to have hot fudge cake for desert. Grammy and Papa joined us there to celebrate with us. You received an electric guitar and amp from your dad and I and a box of Legos from Rachel and Kate. You were a very happy boy. Good times, for sure.

Tomorrow He'll Be 11....

...and I can't believe it. He has gotten so big and grown into such a thoughtful and caring young man. He definitely makes the world a better place... And we love and adore him.
