The kids had a great first day of swim practice at Green Meadow! They were all so excited to go and get started. Noah was placed in the 6th lane with Coach Abrahm, Rachel is in the third lane with Coach Alex and little Miss Kate is Coach Kennedy's lane, lane number 1. She is doing awesome and is so excited each morning when it is time to go to swim practice! I know by the end of the summer she is going to be swimming like a fish! No stopping them now! I am so very glad they love swimming so much. I know I did and I'm so glad it is something that I could share with them and that they enjoy. I love watching them swim and it warms my heart to know that they are swimming for the very same swim team that I swam for when I was a child.

The kids were so happy and excited to go and pick up their grade cards -- Straight A's across the board for both of them! Noah had year long averages for all of his classes of 97 in every single class. He made awesome, awesome t-cap scores and we couldn't have been prouder of him. Rachel had complete Masters grades (A's) and there were notes on her card about what a strong reader she has become. So, so very proud of both of them. I admit, I was in tears leaving the school yesterday. So thankful for kids who love to learn.

Last Day of 1st & 4th Grade!
I love this-- It's the first day of 1st and 4th grade and the last day of 1st and 4th grade. Look how much they've changed and grown!! LOVE.
The kids had a great last day of school! Doug and I went to eat with both of them. Noah had lunch at 10:40 and we met him first and he picked 3 kids to eat with us: Taylor, Jacob Hobbs and Josh Driskil. They are all buddies and it was cute to see them all together one final time before the year ended. We had pizza, corn, salad and Teddy Grams to eat. The kids were all excited for summer vacation and were telling us a little about what they would be doing during their summer. Curious to see if they will get to be together next year in the 5th grade. After we finished up with Noah, we went over to the elementary school and met up with Rachel's class. She picked Gracie Casto to eat with us. Gracie has been her closest friend this year in Mr. Tinker's room. They have grown pretty close and it's cute to watch them together. The girls were so much more quiet compared to Noah and his friends. Very cute, though. We had a good lunch with both of them. There wasn't too much going on for either of them for the last day. Mostly cleaning out desks and lockers and watching movies. Just the way a last day should be. Good times.

Field Day For 4th Grade
Noah's class had Field Day the same day as Rachel's Park Day, so I was bouncing back and forth between them. They had lots of races and different games that they played. I loved watching the Iron Man race and the Kick Ball match. Noah rocks at Kick Ball! He did really good for his team. I loved spending a good part of the day with my boy, watching all the fun and seeing him together with his friends. I will always be thankful for having this time with them.
1st Grade Picnic At The Park
Rachel's class had their end of the year picnic at the park on Monday and it was so cute to see how excited all these kids are about it being the end of the year! They walked over from school and brought hoola hoops, jump ropes, balls, frisbees and sidewalk chalk to play with. I loved seeing them run and play together. Rachel was so sweet to include Kate in their play a little too, and when she wasn't, Kate was happy to color with the sidewalk chalk. I know Rachel will be sad to see her time in Mr. Tinker's class come to an end, so this is a great way to finish out the year.
