Happy Halloween!!!

The kids had a great time trick or treating tonight. It was cute to watch them run up the drive ways in their excitement to get to the next door. They got a ton of candy and ate until they couldn't eat anymore. They both did a great job saying Trick or Treat and Thank You and we were very proud of them for that! Noah was Batman (all black at night is certainly not a good idea...) and Rachel decided to be Snow White. We found the black wig today at the store and she was very excited to have 'real' Snow White hair. The pictures without her wig were taken right before it started to get dark. I just loved how they turned out and had to share them too! Ofcourse, Phoebe was Yoda again this year and made great sound effects while we sat outside handing out candy - she didn't quit howling all night because she was inside alone with all the action outside. I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! I know we enjoyed it here at our house!

Pumpkins

Tonight we carved pumpkins - Noah once again drew his own face on this year and Rachel gave it a shot as well. Rachel drew her own 'giant' mouth and asked for a little help on her triangle eyes and nose. I love that. Cracks me up how Noah has his face all scrunched up in one little section of the pumpkin instead of spreading out. Every year it gets better and better. Poor Rachel, she didn't make it to the actual cutting - she zonked out in the car coming home from dinner. I'm sure she'll be excited to see them tomorrow. Noah was so excited to see each pumpkin cut out and taking form and was eager to help... I had to tell him several time to put the very large knife down and that five year olds did not get to help with the cutting... He said "How about 6 year olds?".

At The Patch - 2008

We found a really neat Pumpkin Patch to take the kids to this weekend. Uncle Bob's Pumpkin Patch, otherwise known as Redwine Farms was so cool - it offers so much more than just the regular pumpkin patch. The kids were excited to go on a hayride, explore a corn maze, see and pet the animals in the petting zoo- which offered goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, geese, ducks, cows and a peacock! Between the goats trying to eat Noah's shirt, Rachel's shoe laces and my hair, it was interesting. =) There was also a big puppet show stage, story time and so much more... We actually didn't allow ourselves enough time to see and enjoy everything they had to offer - we didn't realize there was so much to do! The kids had a blast anyway and so did we. We have already agreed that this is the patch we will return to each year for as long as they are open. Noah's favorite part was the hay ride and Rachel's favorite part was getting to play with the animals. =) I loved it all - I swear I feel like a big old kid when we do things like that. I love it and I love to see the joy on the kids faces as they experience it too. Doug likes to teach the kids as much as he can while they are experiencing it as well and that is awesome too. I love that about him.

Hello Baby

Hello Baby - We had a 3d/4d ultrasound this morning to check on our new little one. Baby is 17 weeks and 1 day old. Some of you know we are expecting this miracle, but many of you are just finding out. We are excited to be sharing this news with all of you. This ultrasound was just amazing. The baby was active and moving all around and it was nice to see. Baby is due on April Fools Day - and that's no joke! =)

Noah Tied His Own Shoes Today!

Some fun fall pictures =)

We took a 'few' photos yesterday - we thought it was time to update the family photo. =) Gotta love my tripod. We had fun trying to make the kids laugh - it's hard to get a natural smile out of Noah these days... but we got a few cute ones.
