Hi Easter Bunny

We took the kids to see the Easter Bunny today - Noah thought she was pretty cool, but Rachel wanted nothing to do with her. The only way we got her in the picture was for her to sit on Noah's lap. Noah has been talking about Santa a lot still... so maybe the bunny will take his mind off of Santa for a few days... maybe...;)

It's boat season again! Yay!

We headed out to Lake Oauchita today and had our first day out on the boat. It was a great day to be out there for the first time this season as it wasn't too hot and sunny. Noah loved it - Rachel was terrified at first (the noise scared her when the boat started) but she sooned warmed up to it. It was cute to see Noah try to comfort her when we first started out. Doug let Noah drive the boat for a while and he thought that was super cool! Especially when we saw a deer swimming in the middle of the channel. We startled him though as we didn't see him until we were almost on top of him and he headed for shore pretty quick after that. It was a fun day for all of us. =)

Sleepy

We had a late lunch today - results: 1 sleeping baby in her high chair. Rachel has never actually fallen asleep in her high chair before, so it kind of cracked us up that this happened. One minute she seemed fine munching away at her grilled cheese and the next zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Picnic at the Park

We had a picnic at the park today with Braxton and Ramona. The kids (and the adults) always have the best time when we get together. Braxton and Ramona headed this way to our park this week (we are trying to make Saturday our weekly play date day) and it was a nice change for the boys. They played and played, had a picnic, played some more and then we stopped off for icecream on the way home. They were so tired while they were eating icecream - it was too funny. Rachel enjoyed herself too - her favorite thing at the park by far, is the big kid slides. Our park is divided with a toddler side and a youth side and she loves all the slides. Good times.

Our Bunny Girl

Our baby is finally back to her normal (mischevious) self. I knew these bunny ears would come in handy again - loved seeing her walk around the front yard in these today. Love that the weather has been so nice that she can wear some of her little dresses and we can all go barefoot. =)

Our Boy

Noah is changing so much - he is getting so big and doing new things everyday. Since having his tonsils removed he is beginning to put on some weight and he is filling out and we can understand why... the boy can eat! (don't know where he gets that from... ha ha). He loves to tell us he is getting big muscles and that his feet and hands are almost as big as mine (his mom's - he's got a ways to go for his dad's). He is very into building things right now - be it with legos, lincoln logs, building blocks, mega blocks... he loves to build with it and usually.... usually it has something to do with trains or the Little Rock airport. Last Saturday Doug needed the keys to his car while he was at work so we ran out to the airport. Noah kept asking Doug to please take him up in the tower. He was so excited to go up and see all the airplanes and talk to the guys while they were working. Doug took him in the radar room and also the tower cab. Noah has been up there before, but he has never seemed quite that interested before. We both thought it was pretty neat.

What's Cooking?

Noah loves to help cook lately - really cook. He is too cute - No matter what I'm making he is more than willing to help me out (sometimes a little too much). We were making cookies the other night and he was stealing more bites of dough than I was putting on the pan (I know this because he had chocolate all over his face!!). Rachel loves to pull out all the oven mitts and try them on while I am cooking, so I had wanted to find some little mitts that would fit her hands. Today at Target I found these cute little Chef sets - Rachel's has an apron and chef hat and Noah has the BBQ chef set. It was kind of neat that there were 'his' and 'her' sets. Rachel is feeling better although she is still running a temp of about 100. She was well enough to play today, so hopefully we have turned the corner and it will only get better from here. Thanks to all of you who have checked on her. =)

Practice, Practice, Practice

Noah has been practicing baseball everyday. He is making some great improvement and we love to watch him practice with his teammates. The boy doesn't stop smiling the whole time he is out there. Love that last photo of Noah and Doug exchanging a high five. =)
