A Visit With Santa 2012

We took the kids to see Santa today. They were so excited! We had a long wait, but they were all very good. I was curious to see how Kate would do this year, but she did great! She climbed right up on Santa's lap, with his help, and watched him with wonder while Noah and Rachel got settled. Then they posed for the Santa Cam, before each of them got to chat with him and tell them what they were wishing for this year. I loved seeing all of them talking with him. They each got some mini candy canes after climbing down from his lap and then it was off to ride the train!

Christmas Cuties 2012

Yes... it's our annual Santa Hat photo shoot! I can't resist taking these every year.... Love them all so much.

Santa Sillies

The kids remembered back when I had piped mustaches on their faces with black icing -- it's one of my favorite photos of the kids. Noah asked me if I could pipe "Santa" mustaches on them last night when we were done with the gingerbread house - how could I say no??? They crack me up.

Gingerbread House!

The kids had a lot of fun last night decorating our gingerbread house. We do this every year and I love it as much as they do! I put the house together and piped on the icing how they wanted it and then they went at it, decorating it with all the candies that came with it. I love to see what their imagination does to it. Noah wanted his roof to have straight, diagonal lines and the girls picked swirls. Again. :) I think they did a great job on the little house! I think next year I might look into the little village kits I've seen, so they can each do their own little house. LOVE this tradition.
