The Lightning - First Game of the Fall Season
Noah played his first game with his team, the Lightning, on Saturday at Maryville College. They boys played hard and they played really well together. I think it was definitely a learning experience for the coach to see where to play the boys. Even though we lost the game (by one point), I was still very proud of all of our boys. Noah played great - it was definitely one of the best games I have seen him play. I am excited to see how this new team does this fall! Go Lightning!
Happy 5th Birthday Lydia!!!
We got to help Lydia celebrate her 5th birthday yesterday. She seemed to have a wonderful day with all her friends and family there with her. She celebrated with a Disney Princess theme. I made her a two tier heart shaped pink and purple cake with all the Disney Princesses. We also celebrated her Pop-Pop's birthday with a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. It was a great day for a birthday!
Making A Birthday Cake-
The kids asked Mom if she could help them make me a birthday cake - she was happy to help. They decided to make my favorite - Pineapple Upside-down cake. Yum! They had a lot of fun mixing it up and getting it all ready to go in the oven. The cake was a big hit and making it was even better! I loved the finished result - Yummy! Thanks guys and thanks Mom!! I love you all bunches!!!

Paint Your Own Pottery
We had the opportunity to go paint pottery the other day with Renee and Alex at Liza Moz' in Knoxville. The kids loved the experience. They hadn't ever gone before and it was cute to watch them pick out their pieces to paint so carefully. Kate picked out a little piggy bank, Rachel picked out a mama horse with her baby and Noah picked out a dog. Alex also picked out a dog and painted her like Smokey (UT). It was cute to watch them all paint so carefully and I know they are going to be so excited to get their pieces after they have been fired.
