St. Paddy's Day Picnic

We got to spend St. Patrick's Day with some good friends of ours cooking out up in the mountains for a picnic. Yum! We grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and Brooks and Laura brought corn to grill. We had lots of great food and the kids had a blast running around and dipping their toes into the river. The weather could not have been more perfect. Good times. :)

Noah's Team Wins!

I have no pictures of Noah's first soccer game this season, because it poured rain the entire game. The Sharks won the game 3 to 2. They all played really great considering how much it rained and how much water was on the field. These poor kids - they play in a total down pour, as long as it isn't lightning. Fun stuff. The kids had smiles on their faces for most of the game though and the win was awesome! It looks like it's going to be a great season with these kids - Very exciting! This photo was taken before Noah and I headed over to Maryville College for the game.

A Mountain Hike

Well, we tried - I wanted to take the kids to hike up to Look Rock, but sadly it was closed. Not sure why it's closed and hopefully it will be open again soon. We ended up walking the picnic area at Cades Cove and exploring around the river. Phoebe was in seventh Heaven sniffing around here and there and tried so hard to go swimming. I let her wade in the water, but she would have been a mess after a full blown swim for the ride home. She was sure happy to be out and about though! The kids enjoyed themselves too. I always love taking them up to the mountains and can't wait to go again. Such a peace up there - I love it. We had a good trip and we followed it up with meeting Mom over at Sandy Springs park for a picnic for dinner.

Enjoying The Sunshine

With this gorgeous weather we've been having, we've been spending a
lot of time outside. And I'm loving every minute of it! The bigger kiddos spent the night with Grammy & Papa the other day and Miss Kate and I had some quality park time while they were off having fun. She didn't stop smiling the entire time we were there. I love to see her curiosity and imagination and I'll tell you - this child is fearless. She did the rock climbing wall, climbed almost all the ladders, tried hard to do the monkey bars herself - I love her determination! The chalk art is by all the kids and myself from earlier in the day. :)
