Noah: 9 Years

I don't seem to capture this sweet boy nearly as much as I would like - He either ducks out, is at school, or holed up reading somewhere.... I wanted to specifically capture a few shots of him on this day. Love that he was happy to smile for me. :) He even found a four leaf clover too! He has always wanted to find one of those! The girls had fun playing while I was snapping away. :)

Deep Fried Banana Split

After soccer practice we went for a late dinner at Hot Rod's Diner. We were all starving, so after our dinner we ordered a deep fried cake battered banana split... Wow. It was so yummy!

Spring Soccer 2012: First Practice

Noah had his first soccer practice of the season tonight. He is once again, the tallest kid on the team... He did a great job hustling and it looks like they're going to have a pretty good team this year. I'm glad it's finally that time again!

Visit With A

We were lucky to get to see Amie, Olivia & Dave this past weekend while she was in picking up her pooches from mom. It's always good to see them and spend some time. Love them all. Ha ha, you can see all of Mom's furniture is sheeted... the dogs loved to sit on it and jump over it... especially after all the rain....

Tumbling Class

Rachel had her last tumbling class of this set of classes on Monday. She still loves going to the classes with Karl, although we are looking into finding a gym for her. She would love to start training on the balance beam, bars, etc... I love that she still loves it and seems dedicated to the sport. I especially love seeing that happy smile on her face!

Dr. Suess's Birthday & Parade

Friday was Dr. Suess's birthday and the kids had a special day at school. :) They got to dress up as their favorite book character -- Noah, of course went as Harry Potter and Rachel decided to go as Jasmine from Aladdin. I got to go eat green eggs and ham with them for breakfast in the schools cafeteria and then I got to stay and watch the parade of characters as they marched through the school. I loved seeing all the costumes! So much imagination and the kids were so proud! It was a very fun day!

Sickies

We have had a house full of healthy kids the whole school year until about a week and a half ago - not even a cold. Then we got struck with Strep. No fun. Rachel got it first and she struggled with it for almost an entire week. She lost 6 pounds which is more than 10% of her body weight. A shot of penicillin finally helped her to get on the mend and on her first really good day, Noah got a fever. The very next morning I had him at the pediatrics and got him a shot of penicillin as well. He was better in just a couple of days. I'm definitely asking for that shot when they get Strep from now on! Hoping and praying that Kate, Doug and I continue to stay healthy and skip this round of the yuckies!
