Valentine's Day

...or, if you're Rachel, Happy Valentime's Day! (we love that!). The kids had a great day - they woke up to a sweet treat from their daddy and I. Noah and Rachel got paints, watercolor pads, and some Valentine peeps. Kate also recieved peeps and an aqua doodle pad (she loves to 'cubber'). Noah and Rachel both had parties at school and came home with containers filled with cards and candy. They were both so excited about their little love notes. :) We took the kids out to the park to enjoy the nice weather before we had to head to gymnastics. It was a beautiful day.

3D Glasses

She's such a little ham... always knows just what to do to make her mama go running for the camera... Couldn't resist putting these up here...

Cursive

Noah has been wanting to learn cursive since the summer months... We went to Wal-Mart and picked up a book to let him learn the basics because they hadn't started teaching it in his class yet. They just started learning how to make the letters in his class over the last couple of weeks. Look what he can do already!

Hide & Seek

She's hiding.... You can't see her if she has her eyes closed, right? ;)

I Love You

The kids love learning sign language of any kind... When Noah came home signing 'I Love You', Rachel was quick to want to learn also. She will flash me this sign often now when she isn't right next to me.

Love Notes

The kids all recieved mail on Friday -- Mom sent them each a valentine. So cute how excited they get by getting 'real' mail, from the mailbox... Love how happy it makes them. You can tell Rachel still wasn't feeling her best. She keeps telling me she had better be 'better' by Monday - Valentime's Day (in her own words). I love that girl. Doug and I also recieved some 'sweet' mail from Rachel - She mailed us a valentine that she made at school. So, so sweet.

Valentine Balloons

Balloons are so much fun - I have always loved balloons and so do the kids. Happiness today was $3 worth of Valentine's balloons from the Dollar Tree... We went in to check out goodies for treat bags for Rachel's class and while we were there Kate kept saying "Monkey!", "Monkey, Mommy!"... I wasn't really paying attention until she started saying it quite loudly... she was looking at the monkey balloons that were all over the store... We had to get a monkey, a 'beautiful' heart balloon that Rachel picked and a froggy balloon for Noah. So funny and so cute. When we got home after picking up Noah from school, they all three had fun playing with their balloons.... such happy faces. :)....and yes, that is Noah kissing his frog.....

Handstand

I know... I just posted gymnastic pictures... but I am so proud of this girl, I can hardly stand it. ;) Had to post this one from her last practice. She is improving every week and can't wait to go back! Love that she loves it so much.

Basketball Pictures

Noah got his pictures back today at his basketball game. His team played pretty good today - they won 22 -5. Noah scored a basket and helped with a couple of the other baskets, so he was very happy and proud of himself and so were we. I love to see the huge smile on his face when he scores a basket. He couldn't wait to call his dad when we got in the car to tell him the good news.

365 Project

If you're here, then you know how much I love to take pictures. I am participating in the 365 Project challenge - to take at least one photo per day for the entire year. I am trying to make the one photo meaningful or at least pertain to what's going on in our daily lives. If you'd like, join me here to see the photos, or join me in the challenge! I'd love to see what you take pictures of too!

Little Gymnast

Rachel is back in her tumbling class with Coach Karl. She couldn't wait to go back and after a bit of confusion and one missed class, she is happy to be back at it on Monday nights. I enjoy taking her and watching her as much as she likes participating. I love that she likes gymnastics so much. She's good at it. This time around her class has 5 girls in it, all between the ages of 5 and 8. They are all pretty well matched up with skill level, so it should be a good session of classes. Mom joined us at the last class and helped me keep an eye on our smallest monkey. Kate was so funny though - she watched Rachel and would even try to do some of the things she was doing... we may have two gymnasts on our hands here soon.

Defense

That's what he's best at. He is great at guarding the other players. I am enjoying watching him play more and more as he learns the game. He is getting better at dribbling and catching the ball. He's getting better at shooting. I wish it wasn't so cold outside so he could get out and practice more. He played well at his game on Saturday. His team lost by two points, but the team played hard.
