Splash Pad with Amie, Olivia & Dave

While Amie & the kids were in this past weekend we took Friday evening to go to the splash pad and let the kids run around and have fun. It was cute to watch them play and squeal and much reminisent of our Little Rock days before our move to Georgia. It is so awesome to see the kids pick up right where they leave off - It's like magic with cousins I guess. I hope they always stay close.

Good Times

Amie was in for a visit this weekend and we had a lot of fun with all of us hanging out together. We had a lot of fun going to the splash pad, hitting a few shops, garage sales, watching the kids play in the pool, on the swing set and in the bounce house and we even celebrated Dave's birthday. I always love spending time all together. You can only imagine how chaotic it can be with 8 kids running around playing. Anyway, a good time was had by all and we ended the weekend with breakfast at Cracker Barrel. These kinds of pictures are rather few and far between so I was glad to get a chance to snap all the kids in one and also catch Amie, Chris and myself in there with them! Thanks again Chris(topher) for taking the pics! =)

Breaking News! Kate rolled over today! =)

Please turn your volume down so you don't have to listen to how retarded I sound during the video! ;)

Kate rolled over for the very first time today! She was playing on a blanket next to Rachel and I while we were playing tea party and she rolled over from belly to back and got the biggest, happiest grin on her face. You could tell she was very proud of herself for getting off of her belly. She usually doesn't like to lay on her belly, but today she was pretty happy to lay there and in about five minutes of me putting her down she rolled right over. She's growing so fast and changing so much!

Chloe turns 4!

Saturday we headed over to the Chris's for Chloe's 4th birthday party. The kids had fun running around playing and partying. The theme was Tinkerbell (so cute) and it looked like Chloe had a blast opening presents and celebrating with everyone. She got lots of cute things and then we all enjoyed some yummy cake and icecream together. It was a fun day. We are looking forward to helping celebrate David's birthday next Saturday at Mom's house. I know I can't wait to see Amie this weekend. =)

It's a Jungle Out There!

or perhaps in there! Kate got a new exersaucer this week and she loves it. She loves all the things that she can touch and try to get into her mouth. It's great because she has never been a fan of her bouncy seat toy bar, so it is nice that this can entertain her for a while as I am cooking dinner or doing the dishes.

First Day of School --- August 3rd 2009

Noah and his teacher - Mrs. Bryant.

Little Dude sitting at his desk.

Just a few quick shots of the classroom.

This is the reading corner and also where the kids cubbies and hooks are.

The back corner is the math center with lots of things to count. There is a wall of computers and the table where the kids get small group time with the teacher.

Noah had his first day of school today and he was so excited to go and make new friends. I was so glad he wasn't too nervous - more excited than anything. He marched right in this morning, said hello to his teacher and sat down at his desk. He was excited to find a goody bag sitting there waiting for him. Only right when I was about to leave did he look a little bit worried, but I reassured him that he was going to have a great day and meet lots of new friends. He was excited to tell me about what all he had done during the day when I picked him up. Looks like a good start to what will hopefully be a great year. =)

4 Months Old

Kate is 4 months old today -- It is just amazing that she has been here and part of our family for four whole months! I swear, it feels like she just got here. Time has been flying by and she is definitely growing fast. She is a very happy baby who smiles all the time. She loves to talk to anyone who will look at her or talk back to her. She has begun to grab at toys and anything that she can manage to get in her hands goes directly into her mouth. She is beginning to drool like crazy- we're hoping that the teeth will hold off for another couple of months, but who knows with the way she's begun chewing on everything. Her favorite things right now are her mobiles - she has one on her cradle and also one on her crib. She also loves her baby gyms and a couple of hand rattles she has gotten good at holding. She loves to watch Noah and Rachel and will talk to all of us when we talk to her. She is very close to rolling over - she'll roll from side to side to look at what is going on around her. She is still not fond of laying on her tummy. She eats every 3 1/2 hours now and will sometimes stretch to 4 hours. She makes it through the night regularly now. She is still wearing some 0-3 months and 3-6 months clothes and is in her last pack of size 1 diapers. When these are gone she'll be moving up to size 2. Just a couple of days ago we got her an exersaucer and she absolutely loves it! We can't get enough of her and love her more every single day.

Ready for 1st Grade

We went yesterday and got Noah all registered for 1st grade at Foothills Elementary School. He is very excited to start school and make new friends. Yesterday was registration and tomorrow is Open House where we will get to tour the school and also find out who his teacher will be. We took him to pick up his school supplies a couple of days ago and he was very happy to find a Star Wars Clone Wars backpack at Target to carry his things in. I love how excited he is to be starting back to school and back to learning. We have been reviewing what he learned in Kindergarten to be sure he hasn't forgotten much and he seems to have retained all his sight words and all the basics. We also checked out a preschool for Rachel at a local Methodist church and were pleased with what we found there. We have her on a list to be contacted when an there is an opening for her. She will attend 2 days a week from 9 to 2 and she also seems excited about the prospect of going to school. Kate is doing well and growing everyday. I can't believe how much she has grown just since we have been in Tennessee. She is weighing around 13 pounds now and is on the brink of rolling over from her back to her belly. She is a happy baby and smiles all the time now. =)
