Happy 6th Birthday Noah!!!

We spent the day celebrating Noah's birthday as a family (his birthday party is tomorrow with a couple of his friends) and I think he had a nice day. We were blessed to have Grammy and Papa here with us to help celebrate. He got to open his presents (with a whole lot of help from his little sister) when Doug got home from work. He was very excited to recieve a new PSP, a few PSP games and some accesories for it. While it was charging his friend Hunter showed up and we all went outside to play some football and baseball. After dinner at Steak & Shake and some time spent playing his new games we all shared cake and ice cream together. He wanted a lightsaber cake today on his birthday and a Star Wars Clone cake for his party tomorrow. I know he is very excited for his party - Lots of photos to come... =)
Happy Birthday Noah!! We love you!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone has a happy day filled with the people they love. =) We started the day by sleeping in (Yay!), the kids checking out their valentines from Doug and I, and then we all headed out for some brunch together. I included some pictures of Noah giving Doug a hug before he left for work. I love to see these two together - all of them together, but looking at these photos it makes Noah look little again. He's getting so big so quickly...
Noah had his Valentine's party yesterday at school and Rachel and I got to go have fun with everybody. Rachel adores getting to go 'party' with the big kids at school. She even had me help her fill out her own valentine cards to deliver to all the kids. It was cute to watch her hand them out everyone. Noah had a good time with his friends while the party was going on. I like to watch him interact with everyone while we're there. It's like peeking into his little world now that he is away at school everyday. Later that night the kids opened their valentine bags and checked out all the cards and candy they recieved.

Good Times

We had Chris, Christina and family down for a visit the past weekend. It was great hanging out with them and watching the kids have fun together. Christina and I even managed to sneak off to a couple of little shops to do some window shopping and hang out for a little bit. It was awesome. Thanks Chris!! Is Lydia not the cutest thing right now? Her personality is really starting to emerge and she just tickles me to watch. She wasn't the least bit afraid of Phoebe and she would just hug her and laugh when Pheebs kissed her. Then she broke into playing peek a boo and cracked us all up. The kids got to play outside a bit because it was beautiful weather. They all swung the vine, ran around with light sabers and chased each other around. Last but not least we let them all have several turns in the bounce house, which was a hit with everyone except Lydia. She was a bit intimidated by it. It was a very nice weekend and we hope to have all of you guys down again soon!

Snow!

The kids and I made a very short trip to Tennessee this past weekend. I needed to attend a funeral and the kids were happy to see their Grandparents and cousins. I decided last night that I didn't want to drive after dark and there was no real reason to rush home so late so we spent one extra night -- Look what we got today! SNOW! The kids were so excited and wanted to so badly to play in it. It was so wet and we had no extra clothes or shoes, so I let them run around in it for just a minute before we had to pile in the car and head home. It was funny on the drive home - the snow ended right at the Tennessee-Georgia state line. No snow for us! At least they got to experience it for just a little while. =)
