Ready, Set, Slide!

A few more photos from our day at the park in Maumelle. I hadn't seen these on my camera card and couldn't resist putting them up here. These boys just have so much fun together... and Rachel.... who couldn't resist that smile?!

Buddies

We joined Ramona and Braxton today over in Maumelle at their local park. It was a fun day of sliding, swinging and running around. Rachel had a ball being a big girl going down the big slides and Noah and Braxton always have so much fun together.

His last T-ball game...

Noah had his last T-ball game this morning. I think he was a little sad to hear that it was his last one, although he was excited to hear that his team will be having a pizza party next week. In his book that is exciting stuff! ;) He finally seemed to really get it these last couple of weeks. He always liked hitting and running the bases, but he really started to figure out how to play the field -running after the ball and trying to throw to first or tag his base. It was exciting for us to see this part of the game coming out in him. He has improved so much this year and we are so very, very proud of him!!! We had a ton of fun watching him and his team mates play. We hope he will want to play next year and look forward to the next season. =)

Swim Lessons

Noah was so excited to go to his first swimming lesson today. He did really very good for his first day. They blew bubbles, floated on their backs, kicked with a kick board, practiced swimming with help across the pool (hands under their bellies as they kicked and made circles with their arms), jumped into the pool, then jumped into the pool and practiced swimming across the pool and back, and finished with jumping from the diving board into the deep end of the pool. Noah seemed to really enjoy the whole lesson. You can see in the photos above he had a smile on his face just about the whole time. I'm so glad that he wants to learn to swim and seems really excited about it. He was so proud of himself at the end of the lesson - especially about jumping off of the diving board. I was so proud of him too! =)

Slip 'N Slide

Noah loves the slip 'n slide. These boys had a complete ball yesterday playing in the back yard on this. Braxton and Ramona went and watched Noah play t-ball and then we all spent the day playing at our house. The boys played in the sandbox, swam in the pool, ran through the sprinklers and slid on the slip 'n slide. After several hours of playing outside we finally were able to convince them to dry off and eat some dinner... we didn't think they were ever going to want to come in... Good thing little boys get hungry! ;) It was a very fun day.

Ready for Take Off!

Noah loves this airplane tube - He had just gotten started with it at the end of the lake season last year when he started riding it and Doug didn't pull him fast at all. This year you could say he really was ready to 'take off'... He is learning to ride the tube and have fun. Rachel even had her airplane tube debut this past weekend(although she just got to lounge in it while everyone else swam because we forgot her float boat). She thought she was a cool chick! ;)

Look out for the Alligators!

We spent the day with Ramona and Braxton and the boys had a great time playing with these alligators in the pool. Rachel just thought it was cool being one of the big kids in the pool too!

Lego Train

I can't tell you how many of these we have built together... He loves to build lego trains - engines, passenger cars, coal cars, hopper cars, flat cars, box cars, and a caboose... oh and not to mention the station and houses along the track....
