What's Cooking?

Noah loves to help cook lately - really cook. He is too cute - No matter what I'm making he is more than willing to help me out (sometimes a little too much). We were making cookies the other night and he was stealing more bites of dough than I was putting on the pan (I know this because he had chocolate all over his face!!). Rachel loves to pull out all the oven mitts and try them on while I am cooking, so I had wanted to find some little mitts that would fit her hands. Today at Target I found these cute little Chef sets - Rachel's has an apron and chef hat and Noah has the BBQ chef set. It was kind of neat that there were 'his' and 'her' sets. Rachel is feeling better although she is still running a temp of about 100. She was well enough to play today, so hopefully we have turned the corner and it will only get better from here. Thanks to all of you who have checked on her. =)

Practice, Practice, Practice

Noah has been practicing baseball everyday. He is making some great improvement and we love to watch him practice with his teammates. The boy doesn't stop smiling the whole time he is out there. Love that last photo of Noah and Doug exchanging a high five. =)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Noah had some fun with this crazy hat. He's got good color for St. Patricks day even without all the green with his red hair and blue eyes... Rachel too, but she is not feeling good - her fever hit 105 yesterday, poor baby. She's sporting her green binky though to show her holiday spirit. All she wants to do is snuggle in close and rest. Bless her heart - when she has a fever, she really gets hot. Hope you all have a happy day!

Our baby... with her babies...

It is amazing how different kids are and how different girls and boys are in their intrests. We kept all of Noah's baby toys... thinking that anymore kids we had would play with them... except that this kid could care less about baby toys. She loves babies. She loves to play 'Little Mommy' to all of her dolls and push them around the house in her little stroller... and she's so attentive! She loves 'girly' stuff as much as Noah loves trains, cars, trucks and airplanes. Rachel couldn't be any more girly if she tried. We love it though. It's so interesting to watch her personality bloom.

Joyful Noise

Rachel loves to make any kind of noise she can... and of course, the louder, the better. Happy Girl.

T-Ball Practice

Noah started T-ball practice today. He seemed pretty excited to be participating with all the other little dudes - now if we can just get him to pay attention. Some of these boys are big (almost 6 years old) and have been playing ball for two or three years already. It is amazing to watch some of them. His team is going to be the A's and their colors are green & gold. Noah's number is 4 - self picked. Cute. Rachel of course wanted to be out there playing ball with her brother tonight. It was all I could do to keep her from running the bases with the big boys. She cracks me up.

Remember These?

What little kid didn't play with Lincoln Logs? I remember playing with these in elementary school when it rained and we couldn't go outside. Noah got these for his birthday and he plays with them everyday. He likes for us to help him build things that are shown in the catalog that came in the can, but he also likes to build things on his own (which makes me smile... I love to see his imagination at work). His favorite thing to build so far is a corral for the two horses and bull that came with the set. I don't remember Lincoln Logs coming with little people and animals (you know... back in the day...) so that is pretty cool.

Boys... Bikes... Buddies

Noah and Braxton having fun on their bikes last night. I love seeing these little guys play together. They had a busy night riding bikes, making and eating cookies and lots of playing.

Green Eggs & Ham

We read Dr. Suess's Green Eggs & Ham the other night before bed and coincidentally Noah's class read it the next day and made it out of paper for an art project. He has been fixated on this book ever since and this morning he asked for green eggs and ham for breakfast. He loved it and has let me know that tomorrow morning he wants red eggs and ham. ;)
