Noah got first dibs on Santa's cookies this year - He didn't hesitate either! He dug right into the plate of Christmas cookies and didn't take just one. He would taste one cookie and go for another one. So funny and cute to watch! Loved his reaction and how much he seemed to enjoy those cookies. We set him next to the tree to get a couple of quick pictures of him on Christmas Eve. Also a little earlier in the evening we let him unwrap one present - I was always allowed to unwrap one present on Christmas Eve when I was little because I was so excited about the presents. Noah unwrapped a squishy red fire truck from Uncle Chris and Aunt Chrissy. He loved it! Thanks guys! It was a great night and before we put Noah to bed, we read The Night Before Christmas to him. Hoping to make a lot of sweet traditions for our little family.
Noah got to open his Christmas present from Mamaw a little early - She wanted him to go ahead and have it and be able to enjoy it. He wasn't too sure what to do at first, but once the paper started ripping, he seemed to get the hang of it. He was pleased to find a Parent's wooden push and go walker that he could hold onto and walk behind. The compartments had soft cloth, rubber and wooden blocks for him to play with also. He started toddling around the house with it as soon as we had it put together. So cute! Thanks Mamaw!
While I was making some Christmas treats to take to work I decided to make Noah something he could enjoy as well - chocolate covered wagon wheels. The wagon wheels are just puffed rice and he loved them! So cute!
Noah met Santa Claus for the very first time today! He didn't have any problems sitting on Santa's knee and having his picture taken. I was glad he wasn't afraid of him. Love the shot of him later on his Daddy's lap with the cute snicker on his face.
Noah got an Elmo while we were visiting in Tennessee and he has taken quite a liking to him. I just had to snap a quick picture of this when I walked in to check on him tonight. I know this is the beginning of a great friendship. :)
While we were in Tennessee we had dinner at a local restaurant called Sullivan's. While we were there Noah's Papa gave him a lemmon to chew on while we waited for our food. Noah was so funny - he chewed and chewed on that lemmon making the worst sour faces the whole time. It was like he didn't realize he didn't actually have to chew on the thing. Poor baby. Noah wasn't too sure what to think, but Mommy and Daddy really enjoyed dinner.
Noah had a lot of fun playing with Papa's boots one evening while we were there... He sat and played with them, looking at them and into them for a long time.
It was so great seeing everyone at Mom's house this year with the new babies. Even the Chris's are expecting a new baby in March. So exciting all these new little cousins for Noah to play with! Olivia is such a cutie and it was good to see her again and see how much she has grown. It's always good when family is together. Poor Chris, we're going to be laughing about 'the broken chair' for years and years to come.... Mom made the usual awesome & yummy holiday spread and it was delicious. So much to be thankful for...
We spent the early part of the day at Doug's parents house for Thanksgiving. We shared our early meal with them, Doug's brother Donny & his wife Dodie. They shared some special news that they were expecting their first baby, due in December. So exciting that Noah will have another cousin to play with. Noah enjoyed eating real food this Thanksgiving - especially little bites of the turkey leg that Grammy & Papa fed him!
