Happy Saturday
We enjoyed our Saturday today by building the El Chupacabra from the Disney movie Planes with Alex and Renee. After some playtime for the kids we watched a movie with Dad before he headed to bed. After pancakes for dinner ( kids choice), we headed to the pool for some swimming. I really enjoy watching these guys swim. Kate has come so far this summer and now she is able to really enjoy the pool right alongside Noah and Rachel. After swimming, we hit Menchie's for some yummy frozen yogurt... Love days like these....

First Soccer Practice for the Vipers!
Noah and his new soccer team had a great first practice! The new coach is Emily Akin and assistant coach Rick Falco. There are several boys that have played with Noah before - Riley, Joey and Dakota have all been on past teams... The twins Mathew and Mason that they have played against for years... It should be a really good team! The boys did a lot of laps and running drills. Most of the practice was drills and at the end, they scrimmaged with the other team that practices at Mary Blount. Noah's friend Rikka plays for that team, so it's good to see him at the practices. Hoping for a great season and celebrating new friendships!

Noah's Open House @ Montgomery Ridge
We went to Noah's Open House on Tuesday night and met all of his teachers. We liked all of his teachers and the classrooms were great. I loved seeing all the colors they had on the walls. We met Mrs. Metcalf (Social Studies & Homeroom), Mrs. Brown (Math), Mrs. Kauffman (Science) and Mrs. Huff (Launguage Arts). Noah showed us his locker too. He was so happy to show us where he went to school and what he did during his days there. :)

Kate's 1st Day of Pre-School
Kate was so, so excited to go to school! She couldn't wait to get up and get ready and was out the door as soon as I said the word. She marched right now, after pausing to let me snap a picture of her on the bench outside. When we got inside, she got a little bit quiet, but walked into the room and found where to put her snack drink, her home home folder, she put her name in the chart to show she was 'here', she hung up her bag and put her lunchbox on the floor below her hook. She then said hello to her teachers and found her name on her chair. It was at a table with puzzles and that was how I left her this morning - quietly playing puzzles and just happy to be at school. :)
She said she had a great day when we picked her up! She said she had played outside and they had done thumb prints, a hand print, had played with seashells and rocks, puzzles, had played 'wheels', where you stacked them up and made towers with them... She said she loved her lunch and that she had made friends with a little girl named Katie (and Katie wore glasses and an eye patch). We are so, so glad she had such a great day! As you can see, she was all smiles as she made her way to the car...
