New Year's Eve
We brought the new year in with our good friends Brooks, Laura and their family. It's always a good time when we're all together. We adults enjoyed each other's company and Rachel enjoyed playing with Mekenzie, while Noah was over at a 'New Year's Sleepover' at his friend Riley's house. Kate played with Max and I got to enjoy holding sweet little Maclain. Good times.

Doug and I had a great night celebrating our anniversary. Mom had the kids over to spend the night and Doug and I went to see Django Unchained, great movie!! After the movie we had a nice dinner at The Chop House. I love this man so much. He is my happiness. <3 br="br" nbsp="nbsp">3>
16 Years of Marriage
Today is our 16th wedding anniversary. I am just in awe that it has been 16 years since I joined my heart and life with this man. It has only gotten better with each year. I love that he makes me laugh every single day. I love that he is still my very best friend. I love you, Doug!

Christmas at Mom's
We enjoyed celebrating with Mom, Uncle Brian, Christina and all of her family later on Christmas day. We headed over about lunch time. There was so much yummy food!! We all enjoyed hanging out and watching the kids play. It was good to see everyone and visit. There was basketball on the tv, and of course, the inevitable A Christmas Story. It was just good to be together. We were missing Amie and the kids. It will be good to have them here with us next weekend. Most of all though, it was a wonderful Christmas. I hope all of our friends and family had a good holiday and were the people they love.
Merry Christmas Morning!!
The looks on their faces says it all - Christmas morning was an absolute hit. Santa did good this year! The kids were so, so excited!! They came running up the stairs at 6am sharp to wake us up to unwrap toys. They said they didn't even peek at the Christmas tree before they came up to get us. We hurried down and Noah let Phoebe out quickly and then we all walked in together -- I love, love, love the looks on their little faces when they saw the tree! They each got some special gifts from Santa that they had asked for and their thrill was evident. Doug and I looked on with giant smiles as they checked out what was stacked under the tree for them. After all the chaos of opening presents, the kids were happy playing with their new treasures. Doug headed back to bed for a little more sleep and I settled in with a cup of coffee, some Christmas tunes and watched my happy babies. The greatest gift for me is my family and their joy. That is my happiness. :) After a while of playing we got ready to head over to Mom's for Christmas at her house....
