Undefeated Season!

Noah had his last basketball game of the season tonight. His team has been undefeated this entire season. These boys played hard. Noah really seemed to enjoy playing and we hope he learned a little and had a lot of fun. Now he has a team party and a trophy to look forward to. After that we'll be gearing up for soccer season!

Poor Little Pumpkin

What a week it has been. It started on Noah's birthday with Rachel coughing and the next day both Rachel and Noah were coughing. Pretty soon we were all coughing. The bigger kids are feeling better but Kate started feeling pretty rough on Monday night. Tuesday saw us at the doctors office and Wednesday was a really rough day. Poor pumpkin wouldn't eat and only slept most of the day. This is the sickest she has been since she was born. Not fun to see any of your kids feel bad, but really hard to watch a baby who can't tell you how they feel or what is hurting so you don't know just how to help them... Today was better. She ate a little better and smiled a bit. I'm hoping we've seen the worst and are on our way back up now. I'm ready for SPRING!!! No more dreary cold wet weather. We had been really lucky with staying healthy until this stuff hit. Now to get everyone well and try to stay that way until the warm weather comes.

Happy 7th Birthday Noah!!!!

Happy Birthday Noah!! I think our little dude had a very, very good day today. We started the day with a song of Happy Birthday which brought a HUGE grin to his face and an episode of his favorite cartoon -Star Wars: The Clone Wars and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The kids played while I was busy finishing last minute details for the party until lunch time when he wanted to make pizzas. After lunch we loaded up and headed to Noah's basketball game. His team won again! They are undefeated for their entire season! Today was the 'official' last game although there are two make up games next week. Let's hope they can hold their undefeated streak! After the game we picked up the cake and icecream and headed over to Perpetual Motion for the birthday party. Noah has been so extremely excited for his party. We had a great turn out with 15 kids - only one child wasn't able to make it. The kids had a blast in the gym. I loved watching them all and Noah had a smile on his face the entire time. He had all his favorite people all around him and he couldn't have been happier. After about an hour in the gym the kids all headed to the party room where they shared cake, cupcakes and ice cream. Afterwards Noah got to open presents (he later explained that this was his favorite part of the day - who would have guessed that???). He said it was his best birthday yet and that it was "AWESOME!!!!". Thank you to everyone who came and shared his special day with us. We appreciate all of you!!
